How to Balance Motherhood and Career

Uncategorized Jun 24, 2019

Being a mom is the hardest job in the world. Trying to balance motherhood with career is almost as challenging. You have the guilt of not spending time with your children while you are working, yet you feel you need to do something besides change diapers all day long. The perfect balance is to become a mompreneur. Mompreneurs are moms who own their own businesses. They are able to set their own work hours around their kids and still be with their kids while they work mostly from home.

I’m Camilla-Jean, and I’m a successful mompreneur who coaches other moms to be mompreneurs as well. I offer both one-on-one coaching, as well as online coaching. In this blog post, I’ll go over just a few of my favorite tips on how to balance motherhood and career. Contact us today!

  • Don’t beat yourself up. Feeling guilty over working does no one any good. You’ve made the decision to work and be a mom. Focus your energy on making the two work together rather than against one another.
  • Get organized. You’ll never be able to balance both motherhood and career if you’re constantly looking for your child’s shoes, your car keys, where you put your cell phone down at, or where your child’s backpack is. I recommend getting organized the night before every night. From laying out your child’s clothes to packing your child’s lunch and yours, you’ll be less stressed and save more time in the morning.
  • Incorporate efficiency into everything you do. One of the secrets to getting a lot done is to stay focused and to not waste time. At work, focus on getting your work done instead of engaging in idle chit-chat and gossip. At home, stay focused on your kids and spouse, and try not to be on the TV or the computer.
  • Make it routine. There is power in routine because you don’t have to think about it; you just do it. This works for every facet of your life, from eating right to managing your home and career. Think about what you want to incorporate into your life and motherhood and then start doing it at the same time every day as much as possible, from spending time with your kids to meeting regularly with your business coach for moms.

I’m a firm believer that you can be both a mom and have a career. Mompreneurs are growing by leaps and bounds because more moms are discovering the secrets to managing both raising their children and having a career by becoming a mompreneur, where you can set your own schedule and be your own boss. Mompreneurs, while growing, often need support and advice from other successful mompreneurs. I invite you to visit my website, and sign up for regular one-on-one business coaching for moms today!
